Ruby Valley Trek is hidden in between the famous trekking areas of Langtang National Park and Manaslu Area Conservation. It is one of the untouched trekking routes inviting only a few trekkers. The trail ascends through dense forests of rhododendron, hot springs beautiful waterfalls, the Kalo Seto Kunda and numerous viewpoints. Ruby Valley is dominated by Gurung, Ghale, and Kami in the north whereas Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar, and Chepang in the south offering a diverse culture of different ethnic groups. Itinary:

Days 1 Arrival in Kathmandu, Overnight in a hotel

Peak promotion representative will be at airport along with Aventyrsresor's sign and car/hiace to pick up you to the Hotel Holy Himalaya. It takes 20 minutes approximately to reach hotel.

Days 2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu and preparation day

In the morning we begin tour around Kathmandu with Peak Promotion's renowned guide. Kathmandu has many historic, religious and architectural places to visit. Swyambunath (Buddhists shrine, also called monkey temple), Boudhanath (Tibetan Buddhism beliefs) and Pashupathi Nath (Hindu's greatest pilgrimage site) are the highlights of the tour. After tour, in the evening we will introduce our guide and short briefing about the trek. Our guide will check your trekking equipment to make sure that you have all gears/stuff. You can also buy or hire equipment in Kathmandu for your convenient. Included meals: Breakfast

Days 3 Drive to Syabrubesi (7 hrs) Oernight in a guest house (1450m)

After breakfast we drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu which is almost 7 hours drive on rough road. Upon reaching Trishuli bazaar we will have lunch and continue our drive. We will stay overnight at normal guest house. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Days 4 Trek to Gatlang village (2238m)

It’s the first day of our trek, we will walk toward Gatlang village, with a panoramic view of Ganesh Himal ranges and Langtang ranges, giving you the first view of the mesmerizing Himalaya. The walk is about 5 hours, then you will reach the Tamang village of Gatlang, you will be able to witness the true essence of tamang culture, be that in form of costumes, language or hospitality. Days 5 Trek to Somdang (3271m)

One of the longest days of the trip, we start our day early with a hearty breakfast, and walk toward Somdang village, crossing Khurpu Danda Pass, where you can get a 360 degree panoramic view of the Ganesh Himal range. The walk is 7-8 hours long, whre we stop at yuri kharka for packed lunch, as this route has no tea houses on the way and is very remote part of the area. Somdang village is known for its lead, zinc and ruby mines, however the mines are not in operation at the moment. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Days 6 Acclimatization day

We will spend this day around Somdang village; we will also visit the Lari mine nearby. This is a Tamang village with some typical houses and farming life. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Days 7 Trek to Tipling via pangsang la pass (3842m)

Today we leave early in the morning with Pack lunch .Pangsang Kharka is a viewpoint southwest of Somdang village with a broad panorama of the surrounding terrain. To the north are the soaring peaks of Manaslu and the Ganesh Himal Range. The large meadow is graced with a giant entry gateway and is an amazing location for camping and taking in the breathtaking scenery. The whole Ganesh Himal region is blessed with abundant herbal plants. Previously, herbs were taken to Tibet along an ancient trade route and exchanged for salt, livestock, wool and turquoise. This hill/danda/pass is known as one of the most beautiful and the best magnificent mountain views point almost in 270 degrees Langtang ragnes, Ganesh Himal ranges, Manaslu ranges and bit of Annapurna ranges Mountain View point. Descend to Tipling, a large village that hosts two Buddhist gombas and both a Protestant and Catholic church. Along a ridge top to the east is a gomba and cremation ground for both Buddhists and Christians lined with colorful flags. Being a majority of Tamang people it has beautiful Tamang culture show. Days 8 Trek to Sertung (1875m)

Descend to cross the Adha Khola on a box bridge and ascend to the sister villages of Shertung and Chalish, regally overlooking the fertile river valley and abundant fields. Shertung is inhabited mainly by Tamang. The name Shertung means 'place of gold'. According to a legend, two brothers in search of gold were led here by a dream and thus the settlement was born. Tamang people have own rich culture to show for the visitors jhankri or shaman dance, ghode or horse dance, said to have been brought from Tibetan culture long ago. Jhankri (shaman) activity is robust in this territory with the worship of natural forces and indigenous local deities interwoven with Hindu and Buddhist practices. Holy Chyamra dandd, Fyanchyat monastery and Sajyat are the main holy attraction of the village. Spectacular Mountain View of Lapsang Karpu, Ganesh Himal (Yangri) as well as Ganesh II and III can be seen from this village. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Days 9 Trek to hotspring and stay in Chalish gaon (1674m)

Days 10 Trek to Borang village

After breakfast trek to Mani Danda – 30 minutes’ walk from where you will see the breath taking Ganesh Himal ranges mountain views and a stone through entire Chalish village views on the back. Trek continued passing Deul danda, Gobre village (hilly walking slow walking is recommended with your guide and porter), Chhap danda and Bandari Bhir where rock climbing possibility has been seen. So any rock climber who is willing to climb highly recommended but basic infrastructure has not developed yet. Arrive Borang village which is also majority of Tamang people. Days 11 Trek to Dhundure and drive to Dhading besi

Today being the last day of the trek, that will take you to the our last point, Dhundure, from thre we will take a local jeep, that will take us to Dhading Besi in 3-4 hours ( Note* The jeep road from Dhundhure is closed during monsoon June-July, in that case we might have to walk upto Dharka Phedi to get on the Jeep) Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Days 12 Drive back to Kathmandu and overnight in a Hotel

With the early morning breakfast, we will drive back to Kathamandu, and reach Kathmandu in 3-4 hours, once we arrive Kathmandu, we will check in Hotel and you will have the free evening. Included meals: Breakfast & Lunch

Days 13 Free day in Kathmandu followed by farewell dinner

It is our rest/leisure day in Kathmandu. You can walk around Thamel(tourist hub and local market) in the early evening. It is the main tourist attraction where you can have various options to buy souvenirs. It seems restful to walk around Thamel. In the evening we will host trek completion and farewell dinner in Nepali restaurant with cultural shows. Included meals: Breakfast & Farewell Dinner

Days 14 Departure

Your adventure comes to an end today. A representative from Peak Promotion will escort you to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight. Included meals: Breakfast
