The camp three acclimatization sleep over was a success. I had all kinds of crazy dreams and woke up several times during the night. My heart rate came down signficantly, so that made me happy. The air is very dry up here, so it gets you dehydrated very quickly, like I was this morning when I woke up. The overnight temps were ridiculous low in the tent. We are talking about 100+ degrees temperature swings here at time. Pemba and I exited the tent at about 7AM to super cold temps. He tried to convince me that I should do some crazy move from our tent to the fixed lines, which I quickly ignored and create my own less crazy route. We had intended to go up the the Lhotse face a bit, but I decided that I had had enough of C3 for the moment and we started the long rappel process down the face and back to C2.
Back at C2 I was tired and sleepy, but Pemba and Kame wanted to go to BC today, so I saddled up and started the descent to BC a couple hours after getting to C2. I won't go into the details, but it was a long and slow descent that took longer than usual.
