Today we made the acclimatization tour to a top on a ridge above the villages of Khunde and Khumjung. In total we climbed more than 900 altitude meters which is a really tough trip. We also got our first view of the highest point on earth. Mt. Everest which towered at the end of the Khumbu valley. Always an exciting moment to see the highest peak on earth in real life.

On the way down we also visited the Everest View Hotel. Built by the Japaneese with a stunning view over the Solo Khumbu valley and Everest. Everyone performed excellent during the trip and without problems despite the very high physical challenge but I can promise you all we will fall asleep early tonight. We are very tired but well prepared for the coming days with increasing altitude.

Tomorrow we proceed to the monastery Thengboche. Tonight is also our last night spent in a bed for a couple of weeks. From tomorrow we will stay in tents.
