Clear with very little wind this morning. We seem to be back in a more normal weather pattern down here at base camp. Higher up there seems to be a fair amount of wind. The wind is coming from south and then when it hits the Lhotse Face and the south Face of Everest it is swirling back down into the Western Cum. This would not be a good day to be high up on Lhotse or Everest.
I did not have a good night’s sleep last night. I had another bought of the travelers special and was up and down all night. Hopefully after several doses of good old Pepto Bismal I will be better today.
This is Chet’s last full day at base camp. With the delay in my Lhotse climb he has decided to head down tomorrow. He will climb Lobuche Peak East on his way down. That is the trekking peak I climbed on the way up to EBC.
