Last night we had a very light snow fall. It was partly cloudy. Again we chose to start later in the morning to allow Terri more time to rest. She slept well last night and felt a little better.
We started our hike at 10 AM. After a short climb out of Machhermo the trail slowly gained elevation past Pang. Than we entered a small section that climbed steep steps along a rock wall with a small stream below.
Across on the other side if the stream was the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier. We finished this climb at a small metal bridge. Than the trail follow gentle slopes passing the first of the two lakes before Gokyo. Around 2:30 PM we arrived at Gokyo. Pasang got us settled into a very comfortable lodge. Hopefully the next couple days here will allow Terri time to rest and start getting some of her energy back.
