Wake up tea and some biscuits at 7 o’clock and after brushing our teeth outside looking out the Changbya valley and clear blue sky, we walked up to the Chyangba Monastery at 2500 m. The young monks was morning chanting with their Lama.
After a great breakfast with pancake and jam and some scrambled eggs and my new favorite tea – fresh Lemon tea! we decided to stay another day here in Chyangba to do some rest, but also to have more time to the visit to the Wongchu Bisso Darshan Lower Secondary School.
At the school Wongshu Sherpa made a celebration ceremony with many of the village people, and we gave all the children school books and pens and Tommy and I got so many khatas and flowers so now we are overwhelmed by “all the luck”J. We visited all the classrooms and the students welcome us in English with a Good afternoon! All the Sherpa village people made a dance for us and sang a beautiful song.
I had a afternoon rest drinking some more lemon tea, while Tommy took a Sherpa walk (now this is a joke: “Nanna walk” 1 hrs / “Sherpawalk” 20 min) with Wongshu and his brother down to the Wongchu Micro Hydro Power station.
Now both Tommy and I start to feel adapted to the altitude and it’s easier to walk and that makes everything easier and I look forward to the tomorrow’s walk to Gorakhani.
