Big climb today to real mountain altitudes! We left the wooded areas behind and the nature above 4000 meters is very different. Mostly cloudy day today but some nice views of Lhotse and Nuptse peaks. Altitude now is 4400 meters but nobody has difficulties with it. Timo still feels a little week from his sickness and Malla started to feel feverish also. Lets hope it passes as fast as Timo's!

The plan is to stay here Dingboche 2 nights and hike a bit higher again tomorrow before continuing towards Lobuche peak. All this trekking is preparing us for the climb after about a week. Before attempting Lobuche we will visit Everest base camp and a good view point called Kala Patthar.

Yesterday evening in Theangboche we met a Finnish couple, Laura and Juho. They are heading for Island Peak (Imja Tse)
