27 April, 2013 - Trek to Dingboche

It's getting cooler every morning. Today it was 5+ c and ice on the window in our room. We started by visiting a Monastery. After that the trek starts to Dingboche. The sky is blue and 25c. The view is fantastic and we have another side of Amadablam and Imja Kohla River on our side during the days trek. The eagles followed us and we saw 5 at the same time. One of them came up 10 m from below us and flew up high in the sky. When the eagle was gone I was angry at myself for that I didn't have the camera ready.  But we have some good photos from underside.

Under lunch we read a poster on Mt. Everest marathon. First they go up to Base Camp then they run down to Namche Bazar, 42km. I don't think I am going to join them.

After lunch we were over 4000m for the rest of the day. We feel that the air is thinner and we need to breathe more for every step. The wind is colder and we need more clothes for every day and night.

Yesterday after the trek we were very tired. But our Guide Phula and porter Kaji starts playing football with the munks on 3900 m. They are very strong and are used to this altitude. It was fun to see them all having fun.
