25 April, 2013 - Acclimation Day

Early up and Phula, our guide came with tee to our room at 6:00. Outside the sun lightened up the mountains from our window view. Great! It was a clear blue sky as well. We have slept well in our new sleeping bags. In the bedroom it was 8 degrees in our bedroom, when we woke up. We started our day trekking at 7:00, and it was o tour for acclimation. We saw the top of Mount Everest (8848) for the first time and the most beautiful mountain in the world Amadablam (6812). Other mountains on the way were Lhotse (8516), Nuptse (7879) and Island Peak and more.

We visited a monastery and in their Bengt saw the scull of Yeti that they keep there in a box with glass. Yeti is known as snowman in Sweden (Bigfoot also). The people from Nepal believe that it was a big creature or man who lived alone in the mountains in the past…..

On our trek we also saw a few eagles. We saw children on their way to school. They had a long way to walk uphill’s, over an hour to school. Now were back on the same Khumbu lodge as yesterday and were feeling fine.
