Taking an extra rest day at Lobuche

Today we were taking an extra rest day and acclimatizing at Lobuche, 16,300 ft. some of us were feeling the altitude a little and we were being conservative in order to achieve our main goals at Kalapattar 5545 meters, Everest base camp, 17,593 ft. and Island peak 20299 ft.

Peak promotion was provided us with a very secluded and sheltered campsite to rest and relax. We have taken several hikes in the Lobuche and were looking at all the incredible glaciers, mountain peaks and the falls.

Mike, Evan and Tim visited the Italian research center, which was built in the shape of a pyramid. They studied geological and weather data of the Khumbu region.

The weather had been exciting and fun. We had clear blue skies, low clouds, and high clouds, rain sleet and snow. We were enjoying every minute of it. The scenery changed every second as the clouds blew and the sun caused different colors and shadows.

Always aim high.
