Aerial view of Tibet

16 May, 2009

After a good night sleep, when our headache finally was gone, it was time for us to go back to Kathmandu.

Johan using his free time at Airport

We left the hotel at 7:30 and we passed the Potala Palace for the last time. What a fantastic building. We all thought Tibet was far over our expeditions. It is so clean, quit traffic and so full of harmony. Tibet just took us by storm.

Again when we arrived at the airport it was time for our temperature check. We had 35° celsius, where very questionnaires. How is this possible?? Only the Chinese will know.

Local life at Bhaktapur
Goran was then stopped at the Bagged control after the lady found a mosquito spray in his checked in suitcase. She wondered what it was and why he brought it, and Staffan, what were you thinking of? There are no mosquitoes. Arriving at the airport in Kathmandu, our famous guide Wongchu meet up.

Getting knowledge about Thanka
Now, ULF was almost stopped in the health control since he had 99% in temperature. We came back to our hotel, Tibet Guest House and had a quick cloth changing. It was now time for one hour bus trip to Baktapur, a city 12 km from Kathmandu. It was liked we were transported back to middle age farming and house life reminds about surrounded in rarely 1800 area. This village is one of the highlights during our trips.
