Today we walked from Chucksang to Kagbeni. The route followed the Kaligandaki River. We started out on the east side of the river for the first hour and then dropped onto the river bed for the remainder of the walk. We made several river crossings - only ankle to knee deep. The wind picked up as we neared Kagbeni. We arrived at Kagbeni before noon, had hot drinks and lunch. After lunch we all had hot showers, relaxed and went walking around town. The town is now much drier than when we first arrived - all the snow has melted and the streets have dried out. The wind though continued to be an afternoon treat - rising to 20 to 30 miles per hour after lunch.
