Another beautiful warm day with clear skies as we leave dusty Dhi and head down the river bed to Tenge. Walking down the river bed is level but the rounded river rocks are a little hard to walk on and the scenery remains much the same throughout with large sandstone cliffs on either side and hills and mountains above. There were several stops to change into sandals for river crossings. The water was cold but the Sherpa’s were always there to help and all of the crossings went well.
There was some confusion over the exact village we were to stay in. Most villages have 2 or 3 three names each and several shared this one. We went up a side canyon and then climbed a steep trail expecting to find the village near the plateau we ascended. Instead we were a village farther up the canyon. Many of the porters had also made their way up onto this plateau. We all headed back down and on up the canyon to a lovely little village. All the porter eventually found us and we were glad to have nice home for the night.
