Today we flew to Pokhara via Budda Air from Kathmandu, the first leg of the Mustang trek. Lapka Sherpa, five time Everest summiteer, will be our guide on the trek. We arrived in Pokhara at 3PM and checked into Hotel Meera with a warm welcome of hot tea. We then toured the main street shopping for last minute items for the trek. We enjoyed the view of the lake surrounded by ranges of nearby mountains and obscured snow capped peaks. Pokhara feels refreshing after the hustle and bustle life style of Kathmandu. The air is much easier to breath and the atmosphere is more relaxed. We enjoyed great food and conversation at the hotel. Tomorrow we wake early to fly to Jomsom and start our hike. We will be hiking to Kagbeni tomorrow for our first night on the trail.
