At Tyangboche Monastry

15th April, 2010

Another beautiful day, although not quite as clear.   Glad that we got to see Everest on a perfectly clear day yesterday.  Today we had spectacular view of Ama Dablam as we started out on our way to Tengboche. We sent Ang Karma on ahead to find us rooms to stay the night.  Amazing Sherpa that he is, he made it in 2 hours.  Took us 7 hours?!  Got to see our first Yaks.  Marcie is still a little confused between the difference between a yak and a Nak.  Made it to the Tengboche Monastary, which was very colorful, peaceful and asthetic.  We ended up hiking past Tengboche to Deboche, because there was more rooms available there.  I think our sense of humors are catching on.  Angdawa and Karma was dusting off our boots at the end of the day and ended up smacking us each on the rear end.  Hopefully, that will make us move faster tomorrow. Strong as Nak, slow as Yak.  On to Pheriche tomorrow, where we will spend 2 days to acclimatize.
