Another wait day in Kathmandu. We all took advantage of a free day to shop for last minute gifts, rest at the hotel, search out real coffee, etc. Ram from Peak spent much of the day being our personal "city Sherpa" and helping us find the best bargains and out of the way places. We sadly said goodbye to Ed today - the first of our group to fly out. We all gathered again in the evening for a "surprise" from Wongchu. He took us to a local Korean restaurant (more "tourism” in his words). We would have never found this place on our own and we had an authentic meal of meats cooked at our tables, plus wonderful sides (all wrapped in lettuce leaves), followed by soups (like fish, seaweed, tofu), and rice. After dinner we got to see some videos showing Wongchu's hometown and several productions about Everest/Khumbu/Anapaurna regions. We all fell exhausted into bed eager for another day ahead. We thank Wongchu for his devoted attention and desire to meet all of our needs and expectations.
