Woke to tea served by peak promotions and had a great breakfast. Ed Viesturs, one of the living gods in the climbing world was staying at the same lodge. Wongchu Sherpa introduced us and he seemed like a great guy and he even knew where Driggs, Idaho was located. The trail was dusty but the views were great. Climbing team was heading up the hill along with the porters, Sherpas and every item that anyone would want. Timber, solar panels, food, gas, clothes all heading up. When we arrived in Namche we were told that planes into the Khumbu were delayed for four days due to weather. After being on the trail and away from the hassle of our daily lives it did not seem like a big deal to us at all. The rooms in Namche were a surprise we were put into what some would call the basement but the tea house is built into the side of a hill. We have our own bathrooms with showers and after a long day on the trail we felt like kings. The dinner was extremely good to! Jason ordered a second helping of everything and the banana pie was incredible. We are having the time of our lives but we all miss our love ones and hope to see them soon.
