always a ladder to cross

Today was a very tough day! From the very first step to the very last motion seems to have required a huge effort. For some reason my legs felt very tired, but it was one foot in front of the other until we got to C2. Everybody suffers at some point in time and to varying degrees on Everest, today just happened to be my day. Otherwise, all's well here.

My friends Paul and Karen who are climbing Nuptse East are here setting up their camp right next to us. They leave at midnight to start their epic journey.
