Lukla Airport

We got an early start today and rather enjoyed the scenery in the morning mist. It so much more pleasant to trek when you can see things, when it’s not raining and when you’re rested. We made it to Lukla feeling pretty good. That last hour climbing up the hill to Lukla is my favorite part of this entire journey. When we finally got through the arches of Lukla I threw my arms in the air and shouted “Lukla, Lukla, Lukla”. That’s how much I enjoyed the hill!
