Summit Rotation Puja

Pemba, Kame and I were up early today for our impending climb to C2 on this summit rotation. I was feeling very confident because 4 days was my longest rest of this expedition and I had done a good job preparing for this rotation. After a few minutes of icefall duty I really felt like I was working too hard. Nothing to do but grind, and grind I did. When we got to the football field and saw how slow I was I thought about turning around. Maybe one more day at BC will help, maybe I need to go home, it was all negative thoughts, which was very much unlike me. Despite being lethargic, I started to enjoy the icefall and the climbing and stopped thinking about being some place else. A different Rohan showed up at C1 in record time, feeling really good and confident. Despite the slow start I posted my best time to C2, which made me happy.

One more climb in Icefall

Pemba and Kame were their usually self and this was just another day at the office. If ever these two are worried about anything I can never tell. Nevertheless, they are raring to go climbing.
