I had pretty good sleep last night at camp two. We got up around 7:30 AM to depart at 9 AM for camp three. Pemba fixed breakfast for Ngima and I and than we packed up and actually left at 9 AM. Pemba stayed at camp two to wait for Kame and Mingmar who were coming up later this afternoon. There was very little wind and lots of sun up to the base of the Lhotse Face. The Western Cum was like an oven. Fortunately a few clouds moved up the valley, which helped keep it from getting to bad. By noon we were jumarring up the face. The sun would come out and bake us and than we would get some clouds and snow. The afternoon is not the time to make your way up to the camp three. It is just too hot and exhausting. We did finally make our camp a little after 3 PM. We were dehydrated and very thirsty. Hot and cold water will be our plan through the afternoon.
