Today is a rest day for me. Chet, Mingmar and Pemba left camp two at about 7:30 AM. It was another clear morning, but windy. The wind came up during the night and continued into the morning. Pemba arrived at base camp around 11:30 AM. The wind had eased up by noon. Chet and Mingmar arrived at base camp at 12:30 PM. All were doing well. Chet had some hot drinks with us in the dinning tent and relaxed in the sunny doorway. Finally around 2 PM he retired to his tent for some rest.

I managed to get a hot shower around 10:30 AM. As usual after the shower clean clothes were welcome.

Steve and Anna got some added activity in the HRA clinic this afternoon. Instead of the normal stomach and bronchial problems a Spanish climber had fallen in the icefall and had significant cuts above his right eye. Steve got him stitched up.

This evening Chet, Steve, Anna and I continued our games of 500. Chet wanted me to mention that he still remains undefeated. We play teams and his team has not lost – yet!
