Today is the long awaited Election Day in Nepal, but here at Everest Base Camp we awoke to another sunny beautiful day. While having breakfast we heard a drum from a nearby camp and set off to investigate. An International expedition was having a Puja so many of us joined in, took pictures and helped them with their celebration by eating food, drinking beer, chang and whiskey. Chang is made on site from rice and fermented fruit and packs quite a punch!

The Ice Doctors finished fixing ropes and ladders up through the Khumbu Icefall today. So the route to camp one is now ready and waiting.
