Sunny and clear again tie morning. Only light flurries during the night, so the ground at Dingboche is clear. Light wind as usual in the morning. We had breakfast and I prepared for a hike with Mingmar. Both Terri and Chet decided to take advantage of the rest day and pass on the acclimatization hike up Nangakarsang Peak (5,083 meters).
Mingmar and I left at 9 AM from Dingboche (4,350 meters). We reached the top of Nangakarsang Peak at 10:15 AM. On the way up and at the top we had great views of Ama Makalu and Cho Oyu. We could also see the trail to Chukhung, which is where we will go tomorrow. Much of the trail on to Imjatse (Island Peak) was also visible. We took some pictures and headed back to our lodge in Dingboche. We were back down before 11 AM and took a break before lunch.
