Woke up at 5 am to see the sunrise but another overcast sky greeted us.  Back to the warmth of my sleeping bag.  Soon after breakfast, just as we were getting ready to head out the clouds broke and blue shy appeared and soon Ama Dablam made its grand appearance.  For the next few hours we had an excellent hike towards Tengboche as we hiked down to the Dudh Kosi with Ama Dablam towering over us. We were also treated with a close and long sighting of a herd of Thar (a Himalaya mountain goat).  On reaching the river the clouds started coming in and stayed with us all the way of our climb to Tengboche.

Everybody enjoyed the visit to the monastery and Alan got some good shots.  Smiles were plentiful after everyone had a hot shower.
