Everybody arrived Kathmandu in good health and high spirits.  The only thing missing was my duffle bag with all of my trekking gear (which did catch up with me 48 hrs later.) Being in Kathmandu during Dussehra festival was a major bonus - no traffic jams!  Spent the day exploring Kathmandu with a visit to Bhaktapur in the morning and after lunch walked about the old city, checked out Kumari’s residence and Hanuman Dhoka (see pictures).  An excellent dinner at Boris’s Chimney (a Kathmandu institution) topped of the day.
