Today the camera crew set out once again for a day of shooting. The first shot tookSteve Birthday Celebrating at Gorakshep. place just as the sun came up along the trail between Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp. The sunrise behind Nuptse created a long shadow in the sky. The wind was extremely strong and very cold. The team tried to stay out of the wind as much as possible while waiting for the right lighting for the shot. The camera team then continued on to Base Camp to shoot more on the glacier. In the evening, the team staying at Gorak Shep celebrated Stephen McCarthy’s birthday in the lodge with a cake and candles. The western members of the team will leave Gorak Shep tomorrow on their way back to Kathmandu. David will remain at Base Camp for a number of days to film there before continuing his journey to Gokyo Ri.
