Typical day again – clear in the morning. I continue to feel a little better. The typical traveler’s problem is almost gone. I am still not eating a lot, but my appetite is starting to come back. I continued to get lots of rest today. Maybe I can get up to camp II in a couple days. My climbing Sherpa – Lakpa took a load up to Camp II this morning.
There was another Sherpa death today. This time it was an accident in the Icefall. Apparently the Sherpa was crossing a ladder over a crevasse and fell. He died as a result of the fall – hitting his head.
A meeting was scheduled for all expedition leaders and Sherpa team leaders tomorrow to discuss climbing safety on the fixed lines. Hopefully this will get all climbers and Sherpa’s to clip in especially on the ladder bridges.
