Group-at-Tengboche Monastary

After a "relaxing" day in Namche we headed for the real mountains (if you are in Nepal mountains starts over 6000 meter). But first we visited the Sherpa and Everest museum, which was founded by Sir Edmund Hillary.

This day was mostly downhill until the steep accent to Tengboche. The 500 altitude meters took about one hour to climb. We are now well adapted to heights up to 4000 m and the accent were no problem. The porters that of course were ahead of us told us, now when we're geeting closer to 4000 m, we should slow down our pace. We will se tomorrow how well we tolerate altitudes over 4000 m.

Well up in the lodge we did a short tour of the old monastary of Tengboche. It's very far from western culture , however beautiful decorated.

Tomorrow we will go further up in the valley getting closer to Everest Base Camp wich we aim to reach on Friday this week. The clouds in the sky tells it will be snow according to Pemba, this will give us good photo opportunities.
