When we woke up this morning it was misty out and the mountains were cowered in white powder. We put 3 layers on, warm gloves and hats and started our climb to the village Tengboche. After about 200 m we were sweating like pigs in a sauna. It wasn’t as cold as we predicted. As we made our way around the mountain the mist slowly lifted and we got a glimpse of the greatest mountain we have ever seen, chomolongma (Mt. in local sherpa language) I couldn’t help thinking about a quotation I picked up a few years ago "When mountain speaks wise man listen". We were totally blown away! To cross the river we had to descend. That meant every step down was followed by two steps up. It was a little bit of a struggle in the heat but it showed to be totally worth it. As we crested the saddle into the village of Tengboche we were rewarded with stunning views of the one and only, mighty spiritual Mount Everest!
Ps. In the evening Baba had the highest scores in Yatzy since the year 0 B.S.
