11th November, 2011 - Back to Sinuwa from Machhapuchhre Base Camp

Cathy, Chris and Keith woke up to a clear, cold morning at Macchapuchhre Base Camp (11,700 ft, correction from prior post). We began our long trek back down to Bamboo just past 7am. As we reached Dovan we found that there had been no rooms available in Bamboo and we had to push on to Sinuwa. We had awesome views of Machhapuchhre as we walked down the trail, but soon found ourselves climbing into clouds. The jungle really does look quite lovely in the mist.

Meanwhile Joe waited in Sinuwa (7600') recovering from his cold. The morning started clear with views of Machhapuchhre above, and deep Himalayan valleys below. Clouds began drifting in during mid morning and by the time the other trekkers arrived it was foggy and beginning to rain.

We are 4 again, and we are happy!
